Politics in our modern world

I receive text message updates from Barack Obama. It lets know the identity of the vice presidential candidate probably approximately 5 seconds before the major media outlets will. Now that's serious power. Obama's crisp campaign website, up to the minute news updates, detailed blogs and ability to get his voice out to the public is so well done that he makes the best advertisers in the industry look like last season's Miami Heat playing against the championship Boston Celtics. Regardless of whether I agree with every initiative Barack plans to roll out, his success in putting together an amazing campaign that reaches people in such an effective manner solidifies to me his leadership capabilities much more than anything else. Yes, I'm aware he doesn't personally handle these things, but in my mind, that's what the best leaders do, enable those working with them to do great things with a strong goal and vision. I'm not completely convinced he is the godsend many people believe he is. But I will say I am enormously impressed by his competancy, and coming from me, that is one large compliment.
