Iconic

Since I first spotted one at a movie theater last December, the Dark Knight movie posters featuring Heath Ledger as Joker hasn't failed to give me chills. The newspapers are already billing his performance as 'iconic' and is generating some mild Oscar buzz. Kevin Smith called it 'epic' on his blog (and there's no adjective I like more than epic). Plus, they ditched Katie Holmes (good riddance) and now we get to enjoy Maggie Gyllenhaal, who is a proper actress. Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins made me revoke my statement that all superheroes were a waste of time. Since it started filming, I was praying that the second installment would be just as good (because bad sequels just really ruin my life) - judging from all the talk of this movie, I think it's going to be amazing. And clocking in at nearly 3 hours long, it's going to be the perfect addition to my Saturday morning movie ritual.
