A second is longer than you think

Based on Q2 2008 profits, Exxon-Mobil made $1485.55 per second last quarter (CNN), setting a new U.S. record. And yes, that is profits, not revenue. Feel ripped off yet? I won't even tell you how much time it takes me to make that much money only to have an obscene percentage ripped away from all the fun taxes I pay.

Or, do what I like to do and look at unaffordable real estate in exotic locations. Actually, come to think of it, since its worth almost $6 million, if my name was Exxon-Mobil, I would have the money to buy it by 11:06 AM today. Instead, I'll just be sitting here, making barely enough to purchase something new for my dying wardrobe.
