Something wicked this way comes

Macbeth is my favorite Shakespeare play, probably because it was the first one I was introduced to back in the fourth grade. We acted out a shortened version for other classes, and it was then I discovered I had no acting ability whatsoever, therefore I proudly played narrator. Though I am no thespian, two summer productions of Macbeth that are running through late June have piqued my interest.

At Castle Clinton National Monument at Battery Park New York Classical Theatre's Macbeth is being staged as a moving show, where audiences follow the actors from scene to scene. The show is free, and it's like getting a free tour at the same time. Also, if you're going to be walking along with the actors, it should help you keep up with the plot.

Being shown at Brooklyn Bridge Park is a Polish troupe doing a modern day take of Macbeth with multi-media features like a video screen on the set and lots of bloody gore. It's being performed in Polish with English supertitles, coupled with the overwhelming visuals, which means probably one's sight and hearing will be on sensory overload.
